Warm Beach Camp and Conference Center (WBC) in Stanwood, WA encompasses over 250 acres of scenic beauty including panoramic views of Puget Sound and both the Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges. There are miles of meandering trails to explore through acres of cedar and evergreen forest and coastal wetlands. Plus there are many interesting sites and towns nearby for your “Musical Supporter” (non-participant spouse/partner) to visit while you are honing your skills for the big concert. WBC is located approx 1.5 hours North of Seattle (60 miles) and 1-hour South of Bellingham (45 miles).
Lodging at Warm Beach Camp
- For NWBB 2025, we will offer rooms in Cascadian Lodge and Olympic View Lodge.
- Cascadian Lodge resident musicians will get a single occupancy room with a queen bed and vanity/sink. Central bathrooms/showers (separate for male and female) are located in each wing of the Lodge. The Cascadian Lodge Lobby is a great central meeting area, with a fireplace, 24-hour self-serve coffee/tea, shared refrigerator, and microwave.
- Olympic View Lodge resident musicians will get a larger single occupancy room with a queen bed and private bathroom. The Olympic View Lodge meeting rooms/lounges have self-serve coffee/tea, a small shared refrigerator, and microwave.
- Musicians may also stay at the Warm Beach RV/Tent Camp Area if travelling in an RV, travel trailer, or camper. RV sites have full utilities and a nearby bath house with restrooms/showers.
- Commuter musicians may commute daily from their home or other lodging that they arrange on their own.
- All NWBB participants (resident, RV, or commuter) can use any of our reserved lobby and lounge areas in Cascadian Lodge and Olympic View Lodge during the Camp, as well as the lobby of Cedar Lodge.
- There are no TVs in any of the WBC buildings, but free Wi-Fi service is available throughout the WBC campus. (Wi-Fi service is limited in the RV area.)
Meals
Meals are served cafeteria-style in the Cedar Lodge Dining Hall.
Rehearsals and Performance
The Big Bands will rehearse in Maple Center and the Cedar Lodge “Chapel” Meeting Room. We will also use Maple Center, the Cedar Lodge Meeting Room, the Cascadian Lodge Lobby, and the Olympic View Lodge Meeting Room for sectionals.
